Job summary

Fairfield Inn and Suites of Elizabethtown seeks a dependable Laundry Attendant to support our laundry operations. This full-time role requires working weekends with shifts from 8am to 4pm on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. You will ensure linens are clean, crisp, and ready for guests, contributing to a welcoming stay.

Responsibilities include sorting, washing, drying, folding, and transporting linens, while following Musselman standards and greeting guests with a friendly smile daily.

Qualifications

• Prior experience as Laundry Attendant preferred but not required.
• Basic English communication skills are needed.
• Ability to stand/walk 100% of the shift and lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Sort, pre-treat, wash, dry and fold all linens.
• Operate commercial washer and dryer.
• Fold and stack towels, sheets and other linens.
• Inspect linen for damages and remove from circulation.
• Report equipment problems to management.
• Transport laundry carts to storage and to housekeepers on the floors.
• Adhere to Marriott / Musselman standards.
• Greet guests with a warm, friendly smile daily.

The warm and inviting team of the Fairfield Inn and Suites of Elizabethtown is looking to add a new star to our team! This position is full time and requires weekends. Shifts are from 8am to 4pm, Friday, Saturday and Sunday are required.

We are looking for an energetic and organized individual to assist in maintaining overall laundry department operations and light cleaning around the hotel. Your role as a Laundry Attendant is important because you make sure all of our linens are clean and crisp. If you have a "Passion for Perfection" and a "Passion for Service", this job is for you! Our Laundry Attendants make sure each guest has an enjoyable and comfortable stay.

Duties include but are not limited to:

• Pre-sorting linens, pre-treat stained linen as needed, wash, dry, fold all linens
• Loading, unloading and operating commercial washer and dryers
• Folding and stacking towels, sheets and other linens
• inspect linen for damages and remove from circulation if standards cannot be met
• Report equipment problem to management
• Transport laundry carts and linen to storage areas and to housekeepers on the floors
• Adhere to all Marriott / Musselman standards
• Follow all laundry chemical and supplies procedures for the washing machines
• Perform other job duties as assigned
• Greet guests with a warm and friendly smile each and every day.

Fundamental Requirements

Prior experience as a Laundry Attendant is preferred but not required. To be successful, you will need basic English communication skills. This job requires standing and walking 100% of the time, regularly bending, pushing, pulling, carrying, and the ability to perform repetitive motions for the entire shift. This job requires you to be able to push, pull, or lift a minimum of 50lbs.
