Job summary

Courtyard Marriott Downtown El Paso is seeking a dedicated Laundry Attendant to sort, wash, fold, and distribute hotel linens. You will operate laundry equipment, maintain inventory, and assist housekeeping with linen needs in a fast-paced hotel setting.

The ideal candidate is reliable, detail-oriented, able to work independently, and comfortable standing for long periods while lifting bags and operating machinery.

Qualifications

• Hotel or laundry experience preferred; training available.
• Reliable and punctual with excellent attendance.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities

• Sort, wash, dry, fold, and organize hotel linens and towels.
• Operate commercial washers, dryers, and other laundry equipment safely.
• Inspect linens and towels for stains, damage, or excessive wear.
• Properly separate items according to color, fabric, and washing requirements.
• Fold and organize clean linens according to hotel standards.
• Maintain adequate supplies of clean linens for the Housekeeping department.
• Deliver clean linen and towels to designated housekeeping areas.
• Collect and transport soiled linen from designated areas.
• Keep the laundry room clean, organized, and free of hazards.
• Maintain laundry equipment and report mechanical problems or malfunctions immediately.
• Use laundry chemicals according to manufacturer instructions and hotel safety procedures.
• Follow all safety, sanitation, and infection-control procedures.
• Monitor linen inventory and report shortages or damaged items.
• Assist Housekeeping with special laundry projects when needed.
• Support Room Attendants and House Aides with linen and supply requests.
• Maintain a professional appearance and positive attitude.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Executive Housekeeper or supervisor.

Requirements

• Previous hotel or laundry experience preferred, but we are willing to train the right candidate.
• Reliable and punctual with excellent attendance.
