Sheraton Suites Columbus/Worthington is seeking a Laundry Attendant to support the housekeeping team and maintain efficient laundry operations in a fast-paced hospitality environment. You will process linens, operate laundry equipment, and help ensure Marriott brand standards and guest comfort are consistently met.

The ideal candidate is dependable, detail-oriented, energetic, and adaptable to busy period demands, with a focus on guest satisfaction and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Experience in hotel laundry, housekeeping or hospitality preferred.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong attention to detail and organization.
• Lift up to 25 pounds and stay active during shifts.

Responsibilities

• Sort, wash, dry, fold and organize hotel linens, towels and bedding.
• Operate washers, dryers, ironers and folding equipment safely.
• Monitor laundry chemicals and report equipment issues.
• Inspect linens for stains or damage and remove unusable items.
• Maintain linen inventory and organize storage areas.
• Deliver clean linens to housekeeping and assist with closets.
• Support housekeeping and public areas during busy periods.
• Respond to guest requests promptly and professionally.
• Keep laundry area clean and follow safety procedures and brand standards.

Essential Responsibilities

Laundry Operations

• Sort, wash, dry, fold, and organize hotel linens, towels, and bedding
• Operate washers, dryers, ironers, and folding equipment safely and efficiently
• Monitor laundry chemicals and report equipment issues or maintenance concerns
• Inspect linens for stains, tears, and damage and remove items that do not meet quality standards
• Maintain proper linen inventory levels and assist with organization of storage areas
• Ensure laundry carts and linen areas remain clean, stocked, and organized

Housekeeping Support

• Deliver clean linens and supplies to housekeeping staff as needed
• Assist with stocking housekeeping closets and supply areas
• Support housekeeping and public area teams during high-volume periods
• Respond to guest requests promptly and professionally

Safety & Cleanliness

• Maintain cleanliness of the laundry room and surrounding work areas
• Follow all OSHA, safety, sanitation, and chemical handling procedures
• Follow all Marriott and Soartress Hospitality brand standards and company policies
• Promote a positive, professional, and guest-focused atmosphere at all times

Qualifications

• Previous hotel laundry, housekeeping, or hospitality experience preferred
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• Strong attention to detail and organization skills
• Ability to lift, push, pull, or carry up to 25 pounds regularly
• Ability to stand, bend, and move throughout scheduled shifts
• Flexible schedule including weekends and holidays
