Overview

The House Laundry Attendant is responsible for washing, ironing, folding, and distributing all soiled linens, towels, napkins, and tablecloths.

Responsibilities

1. Ensure attentiveness, friendliness, helpfulness, and courtesy to guests, managers, and staff at all times.
2. Understand operation of washing machines and dryers.
3. Load and unload washes according to standards.
4. Wash and dry all dirty linens, towels, rags, etc.
5. Sort linens by type, color, size, etc.
6. Pre-treat stained linens before washing.
7. Clean dryer filters daily and maintain equipment as trained.
8. Operate iron and ensure it is shut off at the end of the day.
9. Sweep and mop laundry floors, storing linens off the floor.
10. Fold towels and linens.
11. Remove and sort dirty linens from laundry carts.
12. Keep laundry carts clean and debris-free.
13. Maintain a clean work area.
14. Sort and load clean laundry onto carts.
15. Ensure overall guest satisfaction.

Qualifications

1. Flexible with long hours sometimes required.
2. Ability to exert up to 50 pounds occasionally and 20 pounds frequently.
3. Ability to stand during entire shift.
4. Maintain regular attendance according to hotel standards.
5. Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming, including proper uniform and nametag.
6. Comply with hotel standards and regulations for safe and efficient operations.
