At Sunrise, our Housekeeper is responsible for performing housekeeping and laundry functions to create a safe, secure, and inviting environment for residents, families, and team members while meeting and exceeding Sunrise quality service standards.

RESPONSIBILITIES & QUALIFICATIONS

This position is for a part-time housekeeper, 2:00pm - 9:30pm, 4 days per week.

• Perform general housekeeping duties in resident suites, public areas, and support areas, meeting or exceeding Sunrise’s quality standards.
• Collect, clean, and redistribute community laundry.
• Assist Care Managers and Department Coordinators with resident care when requested.
• Partner with the community team to ensure compliance with OSHA requirements and promote Risk Management programs and policies; adhere to safety rules and regulations.
• Practice safety procedures at all times, including use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), fire extinguishers, MSDS, and Lockout Tagout procedures.
• Be aware that team members may be exposed to blood, body fluids, hazardous materials, and infectious diseases.
• Participate actively as a team member and work towards team goals.

Qualifications:

• High School diploma / GED preferred.
• Ability to provide housekeeping and laundry services in a resident-centered environment, meeting or exceeding Sunrise’s quality standards.
• Desire to work with seniors.
• Ability to handle multiple priorities.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Good organizational, time management, judgment, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Ability to work semi-independently following community procedures and guidelines, demonstrating initiative.
• Ability to perform tasks with frequent interruptions.
• For drivers, review and sign the Driver job description, understanding key duties for safety and compliance.
