Job Description

The Laundry Room Attendant is responsible for ensuring that all Housekeeping, Food & Beverage, Spa, and Golf linen is clean and inventoried.

Responsibilities

1. Operate ironer and press
2. Fold linen to standard
3. Run necessary linens through the reclaim process
4. Keep laundry room clean and neat

Hotel Specific Functions:

1. Cross-training in proper as a Houseperson and Turndown

Marginal Functions:

1. Respond to any reasonable task as assigned by supervisor or manager
2. Assist in other departments as needed
3. Attend monthly departmental meetings

Tools/Equipment:

1. Vacuum cleaner, mop, broom, sponges, dust cloths, etc.
2. Assorted cleaning chemicals as outlined in MSDS manuals
3. Housekeeping cart/caddy
4. Telephone and radio

Qualifications

1. Housekeeping experience desirable
2. Neat and pleasant personality
3. Ability to work on feet for extended periods
4. Ability to communicate effectively
5. Ability to read room numbers, dates, and basic instructions
