Apple Rehab Rocky Hill is a 100-bed skilled nursing center located in Rocky Hill, CT. We are seeking a dedicated Laundry Aide for a temporary full-time role from 8am to 4pm to support our facility operations.

The Laundry Aide will provide quality laundry services to residents, operate all laundry equipment, and maintain a clean, safe work environment. Orthopedics and infection control guidelines inform daily duties and safety practices.

Job Description:

The Laundry Aide provides quality laundry services to all facility residents. Collects and/or sorts soiled linen following proper sanitation procedures including keeping contaminated articles separate. Operates all laundry equipment, washes, dries, folds and distributes clean linen and personal clothing. Maintains a clean, orderly work area and department. Assists in maintaining adequate supply of linens for the facility and supplies needed in the department. The Laundry Aide inspects linen and removes for review by department head any worn linen which may need to be replaced. Sets up laundry carts or closets with adequate supplies for distribution to the residents.

Assists in providing a clean and safe working environment. The Laundry Aide understands and uses Universal Precautions, follows established infections control policies and procedures, hazardous communication and all other safety rules including company procedures for reporting accidents/incidents as well as hazardous conditions, and fire and disaster plans. The Laundry Aide ensures cleanliness of work areas and equipment.
