The role emphasizes efficient time use and teamwork with other staff. The ideal candidate can read labels in English, remain calm under pressure, visually inspect facilities, and assist with supplies while lifting items up to 40 pounds.

Qualifications

Read labels and follow oral and written instructions in English.
Remain calm in stressful situations and take appropriate action.
Visually assess all aspects of the facility.
Distinguish smells and temperatures and respond to pages.
Walk, reach, bend, lift, grasp, pull, stretch, stoop and have fine hand coordination.
Lift and move furniture and heavy items weighing approximately 40 pounds.
Previous experience in a hospital or long term care facility preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide quality housekeeping services, and a clean, orderly and safe environment for residents and staff.
Clean resident rooms and bathrooms on a scheduled basis to meet high cleanliness and infection control standards.
Plan efficient use of time and cooperate with all other staff.

Our facility features private and semi-private rooms that are spacious enough to fit their favorite chair. Job Description:

The Housekeeping Aide provides quality housekeeping services, and a clean, orderly and safe environment for all facility residents and staff. As defined in job routines or department instructions, the Housekeeping Aide cleans assigned areas of the facility, included but not limited to: resident rooms and bathrooms, on a scheduled basis to meet high standards of cleanliness, infection control, safety and hazardous communication program. The Housekeeping Aide plans efficient use of time, cooperates with all other staff and performs responsibilities with minimum disruption to the residents and staff. Maintains a clean, orderly work area and department. The Housekeeping Aide assists in maintaining adequate supplies needed in the department.
