Job summary

Good Samaritan is seeking staff to operate and supervise laundry equipment used to process clean linens, including the ironer, folder, and dryer. The role involves basic tasks such as shake out, sorting, folding and inspection to ensure quality and safety.

Candidates should have a High School diploma or GED and be able to maintain a clean, safe work environment while contributing to a high-performance team in a hospital setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Ability to perform basic laundry tasks and operate related equipment.

Responsibilities

• Operate laundry equipment (Neet Feed Spreader, ironer, folder, dryer) safely and efficiently.
• Sort, shake out, fold, and inspect linens to support department goals.
• Maintain cleanliness of laundry area and equipment; uphold safety standards.
• Attend meetings and training sessions as scheduled and participate in special projects.

Job Summary:

Responsible for operating the laundry Neet Feed Spreader, ironer, folder, and dryer which are utilized in processing clean linens. Performs basic laundry tasks which include shake out, sorting, folding, and inspection of linens which supports department goals and strategic plan.

Essential Job Duties:

1. Performs all duties that are required to operate laundry equipment safely and efficiently.
2. Fills linen carts according to established requirements.
3. Assist in maintaining and keeping the Laundry and Laundry equipment Clean.
4. Works to maintain a safe work environment.
5. Contributes to a high performance work environment by attend meetings and training sessions a scheduled.
6. Other duties or special projects as assigned.

Secondary Job Duties That May be Reassigned:

1. Utilize stamping machine in patching and transferring hospital logo on linens.
2. Performs other related duties as assigned or requested.
3. Prepares linen packs for surgery
4. Manufactures new linen items upon request and mends all linen rejected for repair.
5. Skill & Abilities: For employees designated to drive hospital vehicles or personal vehicles of hospital patrons, possession of a current valid driver’s license in the state of employee’s residence with no evidence of unsafe driving is required.
