Job summary

Emerald Nursing & Rehab Omaha invites applications for a part-time Housekeeping/Laundry Aide to keep resident rooms, hallways, and common areas clean and safe. You will launder linens and personal clothing according to facility standards.

The role requires reliable attendance, ability to lift up to 50 pounds, and adherence to infection control procedures. Prior healthcare housekeeping experience is preferred, with a positive attitude toward residents.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Previous housekeeping or laundry experience preferred, especially in healthcare.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Knowledge of cleaning techniques and use of equipment.
• Flexibility to work weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Clean resident rooms, bathrooms, hallways, and common areas according to schedule and procedures.
• Dust, mop, vacuum, and sanitize surfaces as assigned.
• Collect and launder linens, towels, and residents’ personal clothing.
• Fold, sort, and distribute clean laundry to proper locations.
• Label resident cloths as applicable.
• Operate laundry and cleaning equipment safely and efficiently.
• Follow proper infection control and isolation cleaning procedures.
• Use appropriate chemicals and cleaning solutions as directed.
• Report needed repairs or maintenance issues to supervisor.
• Maintain housekeeping cart and storage areas in a clean, organized manner.
• Provide respectful and courteous service to residents and staff

Position Type: Part Time

Description

The Housekeeping and Laundry Aide is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and sanitary environment throughout the facility. This role includes cleaning resident rooms, common areas, and laundering linens and personal clothing in accordance with facility standards, infection control policies, and safety regulations.

Housekeeping & Laundry Aide Responsibilities:
