Job summary

Emeraldlegacypointe is seeking a part-time Housekeeping/Laundry Aide in Omaha, NE to maintain a clean, safe environment for residents. You will clean rooms and common areas, launder linens, and ensure proper infection control in daily operations.

The role requires lifting up to 50 pounds, flexibility for weekends/holidays, and a professional, courteous demeanor. Prior healthcare housekeeping experience is preferred, with attention to detail and teamwork emphasized.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Clean resident rooms, bathrooms, hallways, and common areas according to schedule and procedures.
• Dust, mop, vacuum, and sanitize surfaces as assigned.
• Collect and launder linens, towels, and residents' personal clothing.
• Fold, sort, and distribute clean laundry to proper locations.
• Label resident cloths as applicable.
• Operate laundry and cleaning equipment safely and efficiently.
• Follow proper infection control and isolation cleaning procedures.
• Use appropriate chemicals and cleaning solutions as directed.
• Report needed repairs or maintenance issues to supervisor.
• Maintain housekeeping cart and storage areas in a clean, organized manner.
• Provide respectful and courteous service to residents and staff

Description

The Housekeeping and Laundry Aide is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and sanitary environment throughout the facility. This role includes cleaning resident rooms, common areas, and laundering linens and personal clothing in accordance with facility standards, infection control policies, and safety regulations.

Housekeeping & Laundry Aide Responsibilities:

• Clean resident rooms, bathrooms, hallways, and common areas according to schedule and procedures.
