Athens Health and Rehabilitation is seeking a dependable, full-time Laundry Aide for the Day Shift. The role supports residents by ensuring clean clothing, linens, and a sanitary facility environment, with emphasis on accuracy and respect for residents' belongings.

Qualifications

• Previous laundry, housekeeping, environmental services, or long-term care experience is a plus, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Wash, dry, fold, and distribute resident clothing and facility linens
• Sort laundry appropriately before washing
• Ensure residents' personal clothing is properly handled and returned
• Maintain an adequate supply of clean linens throughout the facility
• Follow established laundry, sanitation, and infection-control procedures
• Operate laundry equipment safely and appropriately
• Keep the laundry room and work areas clean, organized, and sanitary
• Report damaged equipment or safety concerns promptly
• Handle residents' personal belongings with care and respect
• Assist the Environmental Services/Housekeeping team as needed
• Follow all facility policies, safety procedures, and regulatory requirements
