Job summary

Alsco Uniforms in Virginia Beach is seeking a Wash Aisle Operator to load and unload textiles, monitor washing and drying cycles, and move textiles through the production flow. You will report to the Production Manager and work as part of a team in a fast-paced laundry environment.

The role requires physical tasks over the shift and adherence to safety procedures, with PPE usage and a focus on maintaining productivity across the wash aisle.

Qualifications

• Ability to perform physical tasks throughout the shift, including standing, walking, overhead reach, lifting up to 25 pounds.
• Team-oriented with flexibility to adapt to daily production needs.
• Ability to work in production areas with temperature variations, humidity, dust.

Responsibilities

• Load, unload, and operate industrial washers, tumblers, extractors, lifts, hoists, and related laundry processing equipment.
• Monitor washing and drying cycles and input required data into automated washing systems.
• Maintain an efficient flow of textiles through the wash aisle and transport materials to the next stage of production.
• Identify and report equipment malfunctions, process issues, or quality concerns to supervision.
• Ensure adherence to safety procedures and proper use of PPE.
