Job description

Laundry Aide - Part Time (Healthcare)

Responsibilities include:

  1. Making available a sufficient quantity of clean linen for residents' care and comfort.
  2. Maintaining all linen in good repair and removing items with holes or stains from service.
  3. Collecting laundry from residents daily or as needed.
  4. Labeling new resident clothing items as required.
  5. Sorting, treating, washing, drying, and folding clothing and linens.
  6. Delivering clean laundry to resident rooms.
  7. Following all sanitary procedures related to laundry duties.
  8. Maintaining inventory of laundry supplies.
  9. Using laundry equipment and supplies safely.
  10. Reporting equipment issues to the Administrator.
Supervisory Requirements

This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

Qualifications
  • Education: GED or High School Diploma; 1 year of experience preferred.
  • Language Skills: Ability to read and understand laundry/housekeeping instructions.
  • Mathematical Skills: Basic math skills.
  • Reasoning Ability: Problem-solving skills and seeking assistance when needed.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations

No certifications required.

Physical Demands

Must occasionally lift/move up to 50 pounds. Regularly sit, stand, walk, talk, read, or hear. Use laundry equipment frequently. Reasonable accommodations available for disabilities.
