Job summary

Rivaya of Des Plaines is seeking a dedicated Laundry Aide to ensure linens and personal items are properly washed, dried, folded, and redistributed across the community. You will collect, clean, and distribute laundry while maintaining high sanitation standards.

You will work as part of the housekeeping team in a resident-centered environment, following facility procedures and safety guidelines to support daily operations and resident comfort.

Qualifications

• Experience providing housekeeping and laundry services in a resident-centered environment.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication for effective teamwork.
• Good judgment, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
• Ability to work semi-independently while following facility procedures.

Responsibilities

• Collect, clean, and redistribute laundry throughout the facility.
• Ensure OSHA compliance and follow risk management policies.
• Follow safety procedures including PPE and MSDS regulations.
• Handle potential exposure to hazardous materials and infectious diseases safely.
• Collaborate with the housekeeping and laundry team to maintain cleanliness.
• Ensure linens and personal items are washed, dried, folded, and distributed.
