Job summary

Escondido Post Acute is seeking a General Laundry Aide to ensure a steady supply of clean linen and support resident comfort. You will label, sort, wash, dry and deliver items to rooms while following sanitary procedures and safety guidelines.

The role requires basic math, the ability to read and follow directions, and lifting up to 50 pounds. GED or high school diploma is required and one year of experience is preferred. Equal opportunity employer.

Qualifications

• Education: GED or High School Diploma.
• 1 year of experience preferred.
• Ability to read and understand directions related to laundry/housekeeping procedures.
• Basic math skills.

Responsibilities

• Make available a quantity of clean linen for proper care and comfort of all residents.
• Maintain all linen in good repair and remove from service any linen with holes and/or stains.
• Collect laundry from residents daily or as needed.
• Label new resident's clothing items as needed.
• Sorting, treat, wash, dry and fold clothing and linens.
• Deliver clean laundry items to resident rooms.
• Follow sanitary processes and maintain inventory of laundry supplies.
• Use all laundry equipment safely.
• Report laundry equipment issues to the Administrator.
