Job summary

Cypress at Lake Providence, part of Volare Health, is seeking a Laundry Aide. The role supports daily laundry operations for residents in a skilled nursing setting and reports to the Environmental Services Director. The position emphasizes privacy, hygiene, and adherence to infection control policies.

Required is a high school diploma or GED, ability to read/write English, and basic math. LTC laundry experience is preferred; flexible scheduling is provided with opportunities for advancement.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English.
• Basic math skills for simple computations.
• Experience in long-term care laundry or housekeeping preferred.
• High school diploma or GED required.

Responsibilities

• Carries out all laundry duties as directed by the Environmental Services Director according to required department policies and procedures.
• Ensures daily work/cleaning schedules are followed.
• Maintains a high standard of personal presentation and hygiene.
• Ensures all laundry equipment is used safely and reports defects to the department director.
• Practices sensitivity to residents' privacy and individual needs.
• Follows infection control policies and PPE requirements.
• Completes daily documentation.
• Carries out other duties as assigned by the Environmental Services Director.
