Job summary

CypressPointe Health & Wellness is seeking a Full-Time Laundry Aide to support resident care by properly handling, washing, and distributing linens and clothing. You will follow infection control procedures, operate laundry equipment, and adhere to established policies to ensure timely and respectful service.

Qualifications include at least one year of laundry experience and proficient English communication. This role offers full-time hours with comprehensive health benefits and paid time off.

• Must read, write and follow oral and written instructions in English.
• Must be able to speak and understand English to communicate with supervisors and residents.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to Hazardous Communication policies and PPE usage.
• Follow schedules for the laundry department.
• Follow laundry procedures per Community policy.
• Perform ironing duties as assigned.
• Follow waste disposal procedures per Community policy.
• Care for and operate laundry equipment.
• Adjust water temperature to required levels.
• Use laundry supplies efficiently.
• Operate automated laundry solution dispensing system.
• Handle clean and soiled laundry appropriately.
• Identify and report garments in ill repair to supervisor.
• Sort and distribute clothing to residents’ rooms to prevent loss.
• Identify and report equipment malfunctions to supervisor.
• Follow infection control procedures during handling, storage, washing and transporting garments and linens.
• Perform duties in an effective, timely and professional manner.
• Observe infection control procedures.
