Job summary

Arbor Hills Skilled Nursing and Rehab is seeking a Laundry Worker to join our team as a full-time Laundry Assistant. Shift is 10:00am–6:30pm with rotating days. Wage is $17/hr.

The primary purpose is to maintain a clean, safe laundry operation and ensure an adequate supply of linen to meet residents’ needs, coordinating with nursing services as required. No experience is required as on-the-job training is provided; basic English reading/writing/speaking is needed to perform duties and interact

Qualifications

• No experience required and on-the-job training provided.
• Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
• Professional conduct and ability to interact tactfully with staff, residents and visitors.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily laundry services with nursing services during routine shifts.
• Handle and sort soiled laundry and supplies following established procedures.
• Wash, press, fold, and distribute clean laundry and linens to residents daily.
• Follow infection control and universal precautions in laundry tasks.
• Report hazardous conditions or equipment to supervisor.
