Job summary

Apple Rehab Rocky Hill seeks a diligent Laundry Aide to provide quality laundry services for residents, operating all laundry equipment and distributing clean linens. You will maintain clean work areas, stock supplies, and support infection control policies to ensure resident safety.

This temp full-time role demands the ability to lift up to 40 pounds, read labels in English, and work collaboratively with the care team in a busy nursing environment.

Qualifications

• Ability to read labels and follow oral and written instructions in English.
• Ability to read and understand labels and safety instructions and other department policies and procedures.
• Demonstrates cooperation in assisting others and ability to work as a team.
• Patience, tact, enthusiasm and a positive attitude toward the residents and their support networks.
• Ability to lift and carry laundry bags of approximately 40 pounds, stock shelves and laundry carts.

Responsibilities

• Provides quality laundry services to all facility residents.
• Operates laundry equipment and distributes cleaned linen and clothing.
• Maintains a clean, orderly work area and ensures adequate supply of linens.
• Follows Universal Precautions and safety procedures; adheres to infection control policies.
