Job summary

MediLodge of Sterling Heights is seeking a Laundry Aide to support our residents and facility. You will handle linens and clothing, ensuring clean delivery to rooms and maintaining sanitary work areas.

The role emphasizes reliability, teamwork, and adherence to infection control practices. Education is a high school diploma or equivalent; primary duties involve routine laundering tasks and equipment care.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: read and write; communicate with residents and families; lift up to 50 lbs; patient and polite; operate laundry equipment; infection control techniques.

Responsibilities

• Sorts, washes, dries, folds and irons linens and resident clothing.
• Stocks linen closets and carts for nursing units and returns linen barrels to the laundry.
• Delivers clean linen and resident clothing to rooms.
• Maintains a clean, organized, and sanitary work area.
• Performs routine equipment cleaning such as removing detergent buildup in washers and cleaning lint traps.
• Purges stained, torn, or otherwise unacceptable linen.
• Performs other tasks as assigned.
• Conducts job responsibilities in accordance with the company's Code of Conduct, policies, and procedures.
