Job summary

Magnolia Village Nursing and Rehabilitation Center is seeking a part-time Laundry Aide to join our day shift team. Monday and Friday availability is required, and you must be available every other weekend to meet resident and facility needs.

Responsibilities include washing, drying, folding laundry, ironing, distributing residents’ clothing, and keeping areas clean and safe. A high school diploma or GED is preferred, and benefits include 401(k), life insurance, health/dental, and more.

• Discard waste and line containers with plastics liners.
• Ensure work areas and equipment are properly stored during and after shifts.
• Clean laundry equipment and carts.

Responsibilities:

• Perform general laundry tasks, such as washing, drying, and folding laundry.
• Wash, dry, fold, iron, and store all facility laundry.
• Wash, dry, fold, and distribute all residents’ personal clothing.
• Keep work areas free of hazardous conditions, spills, baskets, supplies, equipment, etc.
• Discard waste and trash into proper containers and re-line receptacles with plastic liners.
• Assure that work assignment areas are clean and that equipment, tools, supplies, etc are properly stored during work periods, as well as before leaving the area for breaks, meals, and end of workday.
• Clean laundry equipment, carts, etc.

Requirements:

• It is preferred that the Laundry Aide will have a minimum of a high school diploma or completed a GED program.
