Job summary

The Village at Orchard Ridge, part of National Lutheran Communities & Services, seeks a Full-Time Laundry Aide to keep linens and clothing clean for residents in our senior living community.

You will sort, wash, dry, fold, and deliver laundry, follow infection-control procedures, operate equipment safely, and support a resident-centered environment with a positive attitude. Prior laundry or hospitality experience is preferred and a high school diploma is welcome.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Experience in laundry, housekeeping, hospitality, or healthcare preferred.
• Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull laundry carts and supplies.

Responsibilities

• Collect, sort, wash, dry, fold, and distribute resident laundry and community linens.
• Follow infection control and safety procedures.
• Inspect linens and clothing for damage, stains, and repairs.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the laundry department.
• Operate laundry equipment safely and efficiently.
• Ensure resident clothing is handled with care and returned accurately.
• Monitor laundry supplies and report inventory needs.
• Support a resident-centered environment with courteous and professional interactions.

What You'll Do

As a Laundry Aide, you will play a vital role in ensuring residents receive clean, fresh, and properly maintained linens and personal clothing.

Responsibilities Include:

• Collecting, sorting, washing, drying, folding, and distributing resident laundry and community linens
• Following established infection control and safety procedures
• Inspecting linens and clothing for damage, stains, and repair needs
• Maintaining cleanliness and organization of the laundry department
• Operating laundry equipment safely and efficiently
• Ensuring resident clothing is handled with care and returned accurately
• Monitoring laundry supplies and reporting inventory needs
• Supporting a positive, resident-centered environment through courteous and professional interactions

What We're Looking For

• Previous laundry, housekeeping, hospitality, or healthcare experience preferred
