Job summary

Lakepoint Wichita is hiring a Laundry Aide to perform daily laundry duties in a care facility setting. The position is full-time, in-person, with a day shift and an 8-hour work day.

The role requires lifting 50-100 lbs, attention to cleanliness, and coordination with nursing staff to ensure linens are available and properly distributed throughout resident areas.

Qualifications

• Must be able to lift, move, and push up to 50-100 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Performs laundry duties.
• Delivers soiled linens to laundry; sorts, washes, dries, folds and returns clean linens to linen closets and resident rooms.
• Cleans laundry room, sorting and soiled linen tubs.
• Operating washing machines and dryers to clean and dry laundry.
• Folding, hanging, and distributing clean laundry to the appropriate rooms or storage areas.
• Ensuring the cleanliness and maintenance of laundry equipment and work areas.
• Checking laundry for stains or damages and taking appropriate action.
• Keeping track of linen inventory and requesting additional supplies as needed.
• Adhering to all health and safety regulations and guidelines.
• Communicating with nursing home staff and residents to address any laundry-related concerns or needs.
