Job summary

Westerly Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center in Rhode Island is seeking a part-time Laundry Aide to support a 106-bed Sub-Acute and Long‑Term Care facility. You will collect and launder resident clothing and linens, then return them neatly to residents while maintaining clean, organized laundry areas.

The role emphasizes attention to detail and teamwork, with shift hours 4 PM–10 PM on Friday through Sunday and daily pay options.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Prior experience as Laundry Aide or in housekeeping preferred.
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
• Ability to follow instructions, maintain attention to detail, and work well in a team.

Responsibilities

• Collect resident laundry from rooms in a timely and respectful manner.
• Wash, dry, and care for resident clothing and facility linens per procedures.
• Fold, sort, and return clean laundry to residents neatly.
• Maintain organized laundry areas and operate equipment safely.
• Assist with non-clinical tasks to support facility operations.
• Follow infection control and safety guidelines.

Responsibilities for Laundry Aide:

• Collect resident laundry from rooms in a timely and respectful manner.
• Wash, dry, and properly care for resident clothing and facility linens according to established procedures.
• Fold, sort, and return clean laundry to residents, ensuring items are delivered accurately and neatly.
• Maintain organized laundry areas and ensure equipment is used safely and properly.
• Assist with non-clinical support tasks as needed to support overall facility operations.
• Follow infection control procedures and safety guidelines to maintain a clean and sanitary environment.
• Report any issues with damaged or missing items to the appropriate staff.

Qualifications for Laundry Aide:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Prior experience as a Laundry Aide or in a housekeeping role preferred.
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
• Ability to follow instructions, maintain attention to detail, and work effectively in a team environment.
