Job summary

The Waters of Wabash East is hiring a full-time Laundry Aide to keep linens and residents' clothing clean, organized, and ready for residents. You will wash, dry, fold, label items, and deliver clean laundry to rooms and storage areas while following sanitation guidelines.

Work closely with the Housekeeping Director to maintain a clean, comfortable environment for residents and staff, supporting a resident-centered home that values dignity and respect.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Able to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to work independently.
• Good communication and dependable team player.
• Able to perform duties with or without accommodations.

Responsibilities

• Collect, sort, and process linens and residents’ clothing.
• Wash, dry, fold, and hang clothing and linens neatly.
• Label items to ensure correct resident delivery.
• Deliver clean laundry to rooms and storage areas.
• Follow sanitation guidelines for clean, safe laundry practices.
• Keep equipment and work areas clean and maintained.
• Complete daily assignments and cleaning duties on time.
• Collaborate with Housekeeping Director and team to maintain a comfortable environment.

What You’ll Do:

• Collect, sort, and process facility linens and residents’ personal clothing according to established procedures.
• Wash, dry, fold, and hang clothing and linens neatly and properly.
• Identify and label residents’ personal clothing to ensure items are returned to the correct resident.
• Deliver clean laundry to residents’ rooms and designated storage and supply areas.
• Follow proper sanitation guidelines to maintain clean, safe, and hygienic laundry practices.
• Keep laundry equipment and work areas clean, organized, and well-maintained.
• Complete daily assignments and scheduled cleaning duties in a timely manner.
• Work closely with the Housekeeping Director and fellow team members to support a clean, comfortable environment for residents and staff.
