Qualifications

• Understand and carry out oral and written directions.

Responsibilities

• Reports to work as scheduled and attends mandatory in-services.
• Complies with facility policies and procedures.
• Acts under the direction of the Director of Housekeeping and participates in the interdisciplinary team.
• Cleans and straightens rooms, offices, and common areas; polish and remove items; ensure resident rooms are safe and attractive.
• Adjusts to changes in shift assignments to meet facility needs.
• Cleans and sanitizes areas of responsibility according to policy.
• Moves and arranges residents’ furniture as directed by supervisor.
• Cleans dining areas after meals and adheres to the cleaning schedule.
• Cleans and sanitizes bathrooms and common bath areas.
• Cleans and maintains windows and walls in resident rooms and common areas.
• Follows weekly department cleaning schedule and adheres to chemical safety rules.
• Observes Code of Conduct and Corporate Compliance Program.
• Performs other duties as assigned by Director of Housekeeping.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

Role Responsibilities – Job Knowledge/Duties:

Reports to work as scheduled. Attends all mandatory in-services by employee’s anniversary date

Complies with all facility policies and procedures

Acts appropriately under the direction of the Director of Housekeeping and acts as a part of the interdisciplinary team

Cleans and straightens (including vacuuming, wiping, moping, polishing, etc.) rooms, offices, and common areas; polish and remove items; ensure resident’s rooms are safe, comfortable and maintained in an attractive manner

Demonstrates ability to adjust to changes in shift assignments to meet facility needs

Cleans and sanitizes areas of responsibility according to facility policy and procedure

Moves and arranges residents’ furniture and equipment as directed by the supervisor

Cleans residents dining areas at the completion of meal service and adheres to weekly cleaning schedule of the dining area

Cleans and sanitizes resident bathrooms and common bath areas

Cleans and maintains windows and wall in resident rooms and common areas

Complies with weekly departmental cleaning schedule

Adheres to all cleaning chemical hazards as indicated on supplies

Always observes rules of sanitation

Demonstrates knowledge of and complies with the Code of Conduct and Corporate Compliance Program when performing work functions

Other duties as assigned by Director of Housekeeping

Is aware of, and adheres to, Resident’s Bill of Rights and Confidentiality of Resident Information Housekeeper

Interacts with residents and family members, co-workers, clinical and ancillary staff in a non-judgmental, supportive and calm manner

Addresses family satisfaction issues immediately by reporting them to the supervisor in a professional manner

Is aware of Resident Abuse Reporting Law

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
