Job summary

SanStone Health & Rehabilitation in Pinehurst, NC seeks a dedicated Laundry Aide to support our residents and care team. You will wash, dry, fold, label clothing, and ensure timely return of residents' laundry while maintaining sanitation standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred but not required. Healthcare experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Remove and dispose of trash and relieve laundry staff as needed.
• Interact with residents, clients, staff, and the public.
• Respond to customer preferences and meet residents' needs.
• Follow infection control and universal precautions to maintain a sanitary environment.
• Wash, dry, fold, and hang laundry, label residents' clothing, and return laundry within 8–24 hours.
• Daily cleaning of the laundry department, sanitizing washers and dryers, emptying trash, sweeping and mopping.

Responsibilities include:

• Remove and dispose of trash and relieve laundry staff as needed.
• Interact appropriately with residents, clients, other personnel, supervisors, and the public.
• Respond to customer preferences, comply with industry and federal and state guidelines, and meet the needs of residents.
• Follow infection control and universal precautions policies and procedures to ensure that a sanitary environment is maintained. Follow proper reporting, isolation, and handwashing procedures/techniques.
• Wash, dry fold, and hang laundry, label Residents' clothing, and return Residents' laundry within 8 to 24 hours.
• Daily cleaning the laundry department, sanitizing the washers and dryers, emptying the trash, sweep, and mop.

High school diploma or equivalent preferred but not required- experience in healthcare settings is preferred. Excellent customer service skills are necessary.
