Job summary

Social Circle Nursing and Rehabilitation is seeking friendly Laundry Aides to maintain clean, well-organized laundering operations in our facility. Available hours are 6am-2pm with weekend requirements; both part-time and full-time positions are offered to fit your schedule.

You will collect and sort soiled linen, operate washers and dryers, fold and deliver clothing to residents, and help keep the laundry area sanitized.

Qualifications

• Ability to communicate clearly with coworkers and management.
• Willingness to work with minimal supervision.
• Aptitude for repetitive manual tasks.

Responsibilities

• Collecting soiled linen
• Sorting soiled linen
• Loading and unloading washing machines
• Loading and unloading dryers
• Folding and hanging personal clothing items
• Storing and delivering personal clothing to designated residents
• Notify director of laundry operations when supplies are low
• Keep the laundry area clean and sanitized
• Attend meetings and training as required by the director of laundry operations

Responsibilities:

• Collecting soiled linen
• sorting soiled linen
• loading and unloading washing machines
• loading and unloading dryers
• folding and hanging personal clothing items
• storing and delivering personal clothing to designated residents
• the ability to communicate clearly and effectively with co-workers, facility, administration, and Lucent management
• notify director of laundry operations when supplies and materials run low
• perform daily inspections of the laundry facility and report any damage or defective equipment
• keep the facility's laundry areas clean and sanitized
• attend employee meetings and mandatory in-service training as required by the director of laundry operations
• perform duties and responsibilities to the standard set by the individual facility and Lucent upper management
• Work with minimal supervision on a daily basis
