  • Collect soiled linens, clothing, and laundry from resident rooms and designated areas.
  • Sort laundry according to fabric type, color, and washing requirements.
  • Operate washers, dryers, and other laundry equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Fold, hang, label, and distribute clean linens and resident clothing.
  • Ensure resident clothing is returned to the correct resident.
  • Maintain adequate supplies of linens throughout the facility.
  • Follow infection control procedures and safety regulations.
  • Report damaged equipment, linens, or clothing to the supervisor.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the laundry area.
  • Follow all facility policies, procedures, and resident rights guidelines.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Position Summary:
The Laundry Aide is responsible for collecting, sorting, washing, drying, folding, and distributing resident clothing, linens, towels, and facility laundry. This position helps maintain a clean, sanitary, and comfortable environment for residents while ensuring all laundry is handled according to facility policies and infection control standards.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Collect soiled linens, clothing, and laundry from resident rooms and designated areas.

  • Sort laundry according to fabric type, color, and washing requirements.

  • Operate washers, dryers, and other laundry equipment safely and efficiently.

  • Fold, hang, label, and distribute clean linens and resident clothing.

  • Ability to work in a warm environment around laundry equipment.

Work Environment:
Long-term care facility, nursing home, rehabilitation center, or assisted living facility. 12 hour shifts. Requires some weekends, holidays, and flexible scheduling.
