Job summary

Fairmont on Clayton in Richmond Heights, MO is seeking a Laundry Assistant to support daily linen care for residents in a 90-bed senior living community. You will follow federal, state, and local standards to keep linens clean, safe, and on hand.

As part of a Montessori-inspired team, you will work with a dedicated staff, enjoy flexible scheduling and opportunities for career growth while helping to maintain a dignified, respectful environment for residents.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 16 years of age.
• Completion of elementary education or otherwise show ability to read, write and follow oral and written directions.
• Must speak and understand English.
• Positive attitude toward the elderly.

Responsibilities

• Perform the day-to-day activities of the Laundry Department in accordance with current federal, state and local standards, and as directed by the Laundry Supervisor and/or Administration.
• Ensure the facility is maintained in a clean, safe and sanitary manner.
• Maintain an adequate supply of linen to meet the needs of the residents.

General Purpose

To perform the day-to-day activities of the Laundry Department in accordance with current federal, state and local standards, and as may be directed the Laundry Supervisor and/or Administration, to ensure that the facility is maintained in a clean, safe and sanitary manner and to ensure that an adequate supply of linen is on hand at all times to meet the needs of the residents.
