Job summary

Fairmont on Clayton is seeking a Laundry Attendant to perform daily laundry tasks and help maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary environment for residents in Richmond Heights, MO.

Ideal candidates are 16 years or older, have basic reading/writing ability, and can read, understand, and follow directions in English. A positive attitude toward the elderly and teamwork with staff are essential.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 16 years of age.
• Completion of elementary education or otherwise show ability to read, write and follow oral and written directions.
• Must speak and understand English.
• Positive attitude toward the elderly.

Responsibilities

• Perform day-to-day activities of the Laundry Department in accordance with current standards.
• Maintain a clean, safe and sanitary facility and ensure an adequate linen supply.
• Follow directions from the Laundry Supervisor and Administration as needed.

General Purpose

To perform the day-to-day activities of the Laundry Department in accordance with current federal, state and local standards, and as may be directed the Laundry Supervisor and/or Administration, to ensure that the facility is maintained in a clean, safe and sanitary manner and to ensure that an adequate supply of linen is on hand at all times to meet the needs of the residents.
