Oak Crest Village by Erickson Senior Living is seeking a Laundry Aide to support our retirement community in Parkville, MD. Compensation ranges from $15.00 to $17.00 per hour, with on-site work and a focus on timely, accurate laundry care for residents and dining services.

You will wash, dry, fold, and deliver linens and resident clothing, maintain clean and soiled item separation, and assist with general housekeeping tasks as needed.

Formación

• General knowledge of laundry systems and safety standards
• Prior laundry service experience preferred
• Ability to lift 25–50 pounds with assistance, and push/pull heavy loads

Responsabilidades

• Cleaning and folding laundry for residents and restaurant linens
• Keep soiled laundry separate from clean items
• Ensure items are identified and cared for, including ironing as needed
• Report lost, damaged, or unclaimed clothing to supervisor
• Deliver linens and residents' clothing to floors and rooms
• Maintain daily records of laundry activities
• Fill in for other housekeeping duties as needed

How you will make an impact

• Cleaning and folding laundry for our residents and restaurant linens in the Nursing Home according to established policies, procedures, and health regulations
• Keeping soiled laundry separate from the clean laundry
• Checking personal clothes, making, sure each item is properly identified (including the ironing of independent personals).
• Reporting any lost, damaged, or unclaimed clothing items to Lead/Supervisor.
• Delivering all linens and resident's clothing to the appropriate floors and resident’s rooms (including the delivery of independent items)
• Maintaining daily record keeping.
• Filling in for other housekeeping duties as necessary

What you will need

• General knowledge of laundry systems critical to safety and welfare
• Previous experience in laundry services is desirable.
• Must be able to walk long distances and stand for long periods of time. Ability to push, pull or lift a minimum of 25 pounds and a maximum of 50 pounds with assistance, such as carts, laundry bags, and linens. Strenuous pulling while unloading washers, dryers, repetitive motions. Mandatory wearing of a safety belt.
