Job summary

Camellia Health & Rehabilitation in Mobile, AL is hiring a Full-Time Laundry Aide to support our Environmental Services team. You will help provide clean linens and clothing to residents while maintaining a safe, sanitary environment.

Responsibilities include operating laundry equipment, labeling and distributing clothes and linens, and assisting other departments as needed. We value reliability, teamwork, and a strong work ethic.

Qualifications

• Previous laundry, housekeeping, environmental services, or healthcare experience is preferred but not required.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Dependable with excellent attendance.

Responsibilities

• Collect, sort, wash, dry, fold, and distribute resident clothing and facility linens.
• Ensure residents' personal clothing is properly labeled and returned to the appropriate resident.
• Operate commercial washers, dryers, and other laundry equipment safely and efficiently.
• Inspect linens and clothing for damage or excessive wear.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary laundry department.
• Follow infection prevention and control procedures when handling soiled linens.
• Monitor and maintain laundry supplies and notify supervisors when inventory is low.
• Assist housekeeping and other departments as needed.
• Follow all facility safety policies and OSHA guidelines.
• Provide courteous and professional service to residents, families, and team members.
