Job summary

Libby of Cascadia in Libby, MT is seeking a diligent Laundry Attendant to clean resident clothing and facility linens, stock closets, and deliver items to rooms. You will operate washing machines and dryers, learn infection control, maintain sanitary workspace, and uphold attendance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Six months experience in a long term care environment preferred.
• Ability to read and write at job level.
• Ability to communicate with residents and families.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand long periods.
• Willingness to learn washing equipment and infection control.

Responsibilities

• Sorts, washes, dries, folds and irons linens and resident clothing.
• Stocks linen closets and carts for nursing units, and returns linen barrels to the laundry.
• Delivers clean linen and resident clothing to rooms.
• Maintains a clean, organized and sanitary work area.
• Performs routine equipment cleaning such as removing detergent build-up in washers and cleaning lint traps.
• Purges stained, torn, or otherwise unacceptable facility linens.
• Ensures punctuality and regular attendance for assigned shifts.

Responsible for the cleaning of resident clothing and facility linens.

Note: All employees of Cascadia Healthcare are required to submit and be cleared to work in the facility per each

state’s specific background check requirements prior to contact with patients/residents.

Essential Functions

• Sorts, washes, dries, folds and irons linens and resident clothing.
• Stocks linen closets and carts for nursing units, and returns linen barrels to the laundry.
• Delivers clean linen and resident clothing to rooms.
• Maintains a clean, organized and sanitary work area.
• Performs routine equipment cleaning such as removing detergent build-up in washers and cleaning lint traps.
• Purges stained, torn, or otherwise unacceptable facility linens.
• Ensures punctuality and regular attendance for assigned shifts.

• Performs other tasks as assigned.
