Job summary

Cascadia Healthcare is seeking a reliable Linen/Laundry Attendant to manage resident clothing and facility linens, ensuring clean and sanitary supplies for residents. The role includes sorting, washing, drying, folding and ironing linens, restocking carts, and delivering items to rooms on a timely basis.

Applicants should be prepared to learn washing machine operation, assist with infection control, and maintain a neat work area.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Six months experience in a long term care environment preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Sorts, washes, dries, folds and irons linens and resident clothing.
• Stocks linen closets and carts for nursing units, and returns linen barrels to the laundry.
• Delivers clean linen and resident clothing to rooms.
• Maintains a clean, organized and sanitary work area.
• Performs routine equipment cleaning such as removing detergent build-up in washers and cleaning lint traps.
• Purges stained, torn, or otherwise unacceptable facility linens.
• Ensures punctuality and regular attendance for assigned shifts.

Responsible for the cleaning of resident clothing and facility linens.

Note: All employees of Cascadia Healthcare are required to submit and be cleared to work in the facility per each

state’s specific background check requirements prior to contact with patients/residents.

Essential Functions

• Sorts, washes, dries, folds and irons linens and resident clothing.
• Stocks linen closets and carts for nursing units, and returns linen barrels to the laundry.
• Delivers clean linen and resident clothing to rooms.
• Maintains a clean, organized and sanitary work area.
