Job summary

The Waters of Smyrna is hiring for a Laundry Aide in Smyrna, TN. You will clean resident rooms and other areas, helping to maintain a clean and attractive environment for residents in accordance with policies and procedures.

Requirements include a high school diploma, ability to follow directions, independent work capability, health screening, and clear English communication. Prior housekeeping/laundry experience is preferred; training provided.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or sufficient knowledge to perform job functions.
• Understand and carry out oral and written directions.
• Capable of setting work priorities and working independently.
• Must meet health assessment requirements, including two-stage Mantoux skin test.
• Must be able to communicate in English, both verbally and in writing.
• Capable of performing essential functions with or without reasonable accommodations.

Under the direction of the Director of Housekeeping, this position is delegated the following essential functions:

• Cleaning resident rooms and other interior and exterior facility areas and assisting in maintaining a clean and attractive environment for the residents
• Carrying out the assigned duties and responsibilities in accordance with current existing federal and state regulations and established company policies and procedures

Job Requirements

• Possess a high school diploma or sufficient knowledge and education to perform job functions
• Understand and carry out oral and written directions
• Is capable of setting work priorities and working independently in the absence of supervision
• Must meet health assessment requirements, including two-stage Mantoux skin test
• Must be able to communicate in English, both verbally and in writing, and possess sufficient communication skills to perform the tasks required
• Must be capable of performing the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodations
