Qualifications

• Minimum education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
• No experience required; 6 months housekeeping preferred.
• Ability to lift, carry, sort, and process laundry.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Good communication and customer service abilities.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Collect, sort, wash, and distribute resident clothing and facility laundry.
• Ensure adequate supply of clean linens for departments.
• Label and process resident personal clothing; return items to rooms/storage.
• Operate laundry equipment safely and maintain chemical supplies.
• Weigh, track, and process laundry per procedures and sanitation standards.
• Maintain a clean, organized work area and complete cleaning tasks.
• Report equipment issues, maintenance concerns, and safety hazards promptly.
• Follow HIPAA, infection control, safety, and facility policies.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and perform additional duties.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Collect, sort, wash, dry, fold, hang, and distribute resident clothing, linens, and facility laundry
• Ensure an adequate supply of clean linens is available and distributed to departments throughout the facility
• Label and process resident personal clothing and return clean items to appropriate rooms and storage areas
• Operate laundry equipment safely and maintain proper chemical supplies for laundry operations
• Weigh, track, and process laundry according to facility procedures and sanitation standards
• Maintain a clean and organized work area and complete assigned cleaning tasks
• Report equipment issues, maintenance concerns, and safety hazards promptly
• Follow HIPAA, infection control, safety, and facility policies and procedures
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and perform additional duties as assigned

REQUIREMENTS:

• Minimum education requirement: High School Diploma or equivalent
• Minimum experience requirement: No experience required; 6 months of housekeeping experience preferred
• Ability to safely lift, carry, sort, and process laundry throughout the workday
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Good communication and customer service abilities
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
