Job summary

Northgate Health Care Facility in North Tonawanda, NY, seeks a Laundry Aide (Temporary) to ensure residents' linens and clothing are clean and ready, supporting a safe and sanitary environment. You’ll organize tasks, operate laundry equipment, and follow facility policies.

This temporary role offers a daytime shift and a chance to transition to other opportunities within The McGuire Group. Qualifications include a High School diploma or equivalent; no experience required, with 6 months

Qualifications

  • Minimum education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • No experience required; 6 months housekeeping preferred.
  • Ability to safely lift, carry, sort, and process laundry.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Good communication and customer service abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Commitment to maintaining a clean, safe, and resident-centered environment.
  • Positive attitude and strong attention to detail.

Responsibilities

  • Collect, sort, wash, dry, fold, hang, and distribute resident clothing, linens, and facility laundry.
  • Ensure an adequate supply of clean linens is available and distributed to departments throughout the facility.
  • Label and process resident personal clothing and return clean items to appropriate rooms and storage areas.
  • Operate laundry equipment safely and maintain proper chemical supplies for laundry operations.
  • Weigh, track, and process laundry according to facility procedures and sanitation standards.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area and complete assigned cleaning tasks.
  • Report equipment issues, maintenance concerns, and safety hazards promptly.
  • Follow HIPAA, infection control, safety, and facility policies and procedures.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and perform additional duties as assigned.

Laundry Aide (Temporary)
Rate: $16.60- $19.06/hour (depending on experience)
Shift: Full-Time, Temporary
Schedule:6 am - 2 pm, every other weekend

In this role, you’ll help ensure residents and departments have clean linens and clothing while supporting a safe, sanitary, and welcoming environment.
