Job summary

Fairport Rehab & Nursing Center is seeking a Laundry Aide to support our day shift team in maintaining clean linens and patient clothing for residents across our continuum of care. You will operate laundry equipment, fold and iron textiles, and ensure sanitation standards.

This role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, ability to work independently and as part of a team, and the physical stamina to lift 25–50 lbs and stand for extended periods.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Assist with operation of industrial washing and drying machines, and folding and ironing of linens and patient clothing.
• Ensure cleanliness and sanitation in laundry area; handle and store soiled linens and laundry equipment.
• Collaborate with team to ensure efficient laundry operations.
• Maintain records of laundry processing, including inventory management and tracking.
• Perform other duties as assigned by Supervisor or Director of Environmental Services.

• Assist with the operation of industrial washing and drying machines, as well as folding and ironing of linens and patient clothing
• Ensure high levels of cleanliness and sanitation in the laundry area, including the handling and storage of soiled linens and laundry equipment
• Work closely with other team members to ensure efficient and effective laundry operations
• Maintain accurate records of laundry processing, including inventory management and tracking
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Supervisor or Director of Environmental Services

What We Offer:

• Compensation and Schedule:

  Pay $17.00 per hour

  Available Shifts: Day (7:00am - 3:00pm)

  Schedule Options: Full-Time (37.5 hours per week)

  Weekend Availability: Every other weekend Requirment
