Job Summary

The Housekeeping Aide will perform the day-to-day activities of the laundry department to ensure the provision of quality laundry services in compliance with Federal, State, and Local regulations. They will ensure environmental and linen cleanliness and sanitation for resident safety, comfort, and convenience.

Responsibilities

1. Perform general housekeeping and cleaning duties across various areas to maintain a sanitary, safe, attractive, and orderly environment; handle all laundry duties.
2. Coordinate inventories of clothing and personal items brought in by new residents and mark them with proper identification.
3. Coordinate the collection of soiled linen from each wing, prepare articles for washing by unbuttoning, turning pockets out, and unrolling sleeves, and sort laundry into appropriate loads.
4. Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned, which may change at any time.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• At least one year of experience in a commercial setting with knowledge of laundry and housekeeping procedures.
