Yona is seeking a Laundry Aide to join our team. The role focuses on processing and distributing both household and resident laundry, maintaining sanitary and organized facilities, and delivering friendly service to residents and staff.

Experience is not required but preferred. The position emphasizes reliability, teamwork, and a compassionate approach to resident care within a supportive environment.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Transport laundry containers and carts for soiled and clean linen.
• Operate commercial washers and dryers.
• Sort and load linens for washing and drying.
• Fold, sort, and distribute clean laundry to carts or areas.
• Maintain accurate linen inventory records.
• Wash, dry, fold, and distribute customer clothing as needed.
• Clean and maintain laundry areas and equipment.

Responsibilities:

• Transports laundry containers of soiled linen and clean linen carts
• Operates commercial washing machines and dryers
• Sorts and loads soiled linen into washers and loads clean, wet linens into dryers
• Proceeds to fold clean, dry linen and place into clean carts
• Keeps accurate records of linen inventory
• Washes, dries, folds and distributes customer clothing
• Maintains equipment and the laundry areas, cleans and keeps areas in a neat orderly and safe manner
• Follows all company policies and procedures
• Checks stock and notifies supervisor of supply needs
• Delivers laundry as specified
• Puts Customer Service First: Ensures that customers and families receive the highest quality of service in a caring and compassionate atmosphere which recognizes the individual's needs and rights

Requirements:

• Ability to follow written and oral instructions concerning the mixing of cleaning compounds, liquids, disinfecting solutions, etc
• Ability to work independently
• Possess flexibility, integrity, and a strong work ethic
• Ability to work effectively with the residents and personnel
• Must provide a criminal background check
• Laundry experience is a plus
