Job summary

Lunda Construction Co., a Tutor Perini Company, is seeking an Entry-Level Project Engineer for our Rosemount, MN office. You will support project teams, interpret drawings, assist with scheduling and safety compliance, and help manage scope and costs on heavy civil projects.

Recent graduates are encouraged to apply. Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field is required, with strong teamwork and communication skills. Prior experience is a plus, with a focus on safety and quality.

Responsibilities

• Support project teams consisting of Project Managers, Engineers, Superintendents, and field personnel.
• Build strong working relationships with internal teams, design partners, subcontractors, and project leadership.
• Assist with project layout and identifying critical work items and long-lead materials.
• Support monthly billing, cash flow forecasting, and change order processing.
• Interpret drawings and specifications to support craft installation and field execution.
• Review mock-ups, shop drawings, and subcontractor scopes of work.
• Monitor subcontractor compliance and coordinate with QA/QC team.
• Verify work is completed in accordance with drawings, codes, and specifications.
• Create and process RFIs (Requests for Information).
• Assist with schedule coordination and ensuring field teams have the information needed to execute work.
• Participate in the development and review of design and work plans.
• Support safety initiatives, including inspections and compliance with OSHA regulations.
• Perform quantity takeoffs and other technical tasks as needed.
• Perform additional duties as assigned to support project success.
