Job summary

Arcfield is seeking an experienced systems engineer with a track record in launch vehicle systems engineering and space launch integration. The role spans end-to-end system development, requirements decomposition, and cross-disciplinary collaboration to deliver validated product capabilities.

The incumbent translates strategic development plans into detailed system specifications, leads design reviews, and supports business development with customer liaison and requirements shaping.

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI clearance is required.
• 20+ years of experience in Launch Vehicle Systems Engineering or related fields.
• Experience in Space Launch Integration/Mission Management or Mission Analysis.

Responsibilities

• Designs, develops, evaluates and modifies end-to-end systems through their life cycle.
• Translates high level product strategies into system requirement specifications and works with multi-discipled teams to develop lower-level requirements.
• Establishes standards, practices, and procedures for overall product development.
• Performs design reviews of components to ensure traceability of requirements through verification and validation.
• Generates system level requirements verification procedures and customer acceptance tests.
• Reviews test plans/procedures to meet contractual objectives and participates in testing to validate requirements.
• Serves as consultant to top management in long-range planning for new areas of technological research and advancements.

Responsibilities

• Using a holistic approach, designs, develops, evaluates and modifies end-to-end systems and system-oriented products through their entire life cycle.
• Generates quantifiable requirements based on customer description, system planning and design, and acquisition logistics.
• Ensures requirements comply with client requirements and government standards through formal verification methods.
• Translates high level product development strategies into system requirement specifications and works with other engineering disciplines to develop lower-level detailed implementation requirements.
• Establishes and coordinates development of standards, practices, and procedures as related to the overall product development.
• Designs interfaces and brings system elements together so they work as a whole.
• Assesses performance using evaluation criteria and technical performance measures.
• Customer liaison and support for business development activities and to understand and shape requirements.
• Participates in system conceptual design and documentation of the design concepts.
• Translates high level product development strategies into system requirement specifications and works with multi-disciplined engineering teams to develop lower-level detailed requirements.
• Participates in design reviews of components (hardware and software) to ensure applicability to the current system and traceability of requirements through compliance verification and validation.
• Generates system level requirements verification procedures and customer acceptance test procedures.
• Reviews test plans/procedures and ensures they meet the objectives of the contractual requirements and participates in the testing process to validate requirements.
• Recognized industry authority with advanced technical insight in multiple fields and disciplines.
• Complexity of work is state of the art and new to the Company and to the industry.
• Serves as consultant to top management in long-range planning concerning new or projected areas of technological research and advancements.
• Is instrumental in attracting/obtaining major new business.

Qualifications

Required:

• BS +16-18 years in Engineering Discipline or MS +14 years in Engineering Discipline or PhD +10 years in Engineering Discipline
• Must possess and have the ability to maintain an active TS/SCI clearance
• 20+ years of experince in Launch Vehicle Systems Engineering, Space Launch Integration/Mission Management, and/or Mission Analysis

This is the projected compensation range for this position. There are differentiating factors that can impact a final salary/hourly rate, including, but not limited to, Contract Wage Determination, relevant work experience, skills and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location (For Remote Opportunities), education and certifications as well as Federal Government Contract Labor categories.
