Job summary

Relativity Space is hiring a Welder for the Launch Team to fabricate, fit, and weld piping systems supporting the Terran R launch site. You will work with engineering, fabrication, construction, and operations teams across shop and field environments.

3+ years welding experience required; you will read isometrics and drawings, and perform TIG, MIG, FCAW, and stick welding on carbon steel, stainless, and alloys. Background checks apply for Cape Canaveral work.

Qualifications

• 3+ years professional welding and fabrication experience.
• Experience reading isometric drawings, blueprints, weld procedures, and symbols.
• Experience fitting, fabricating, and installing piping systems or mechanical assemblies.
• Experience using grinders, drills, saws, pipe preparation tools.
• Experience operating forklifts or similar equipment.
• Ability to perform welding in an active construction or industrial environment.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret engineering drawings, isometrics, fabrication prints, weld procedures, and specifications.
• Fit, fabricate, and weld piping systems and mechanical assemblies using TIG, MIG, FCAW, and stick welding.
• Perform pipe welding on carbon steel, stainless steel, and other alloys in shop and field.
• Prepare, align, and install piping systems to meet weld quality and project specs.
• Operate fabrication tools and hand tools like grinders, beveling tools, saws, and pipe prep equipment.
• Support system installation, testing, and field integration with mechanical, construction, and engineering teams.
• Collaborate to improve safe, efficient fabrication, welding, and installation processes.
• Follow safety, quality, and workmanship standards while supporting project schedules.
• Perform launch site, fabrication, and welding tasks as assigned.
