Job summary

Proxops, LLC in Merritt Island, FL is seeking a Systems Engineering Triage Specialist to support the Launch Control System development and operations for NASA missions. You will troubleshoot software and hardware, analyze anomalies and document issues to keep the next generation rocket program on track.

You should have a BS degree and 4+ years of relevant IT or software engineering experience; familiarity with UNIX, C++, Java, Python, and network monitoring tools is a plus.

Qualifications

• BS degree from an accredited college or university with four (4) years of progressive, relevant experience, or 6 years of directly related IT experience.
• Prefer Software Engineering, Computer Science or related 4 year degree.
• Requires knowledge of software development and systems engineering.

Responsibilities

• Provide Systems Engineering Triage support to the Launch Control System (LCS) Development and Operations.
• Troubleshoot software and hardware on Firing Room development and operational sets.
• Collect data from the user environment and analyze anomalies.
• Document anomalies and communicate status/issues to users and management.
• Work with in-house developed and commercial software packages and understand dependencies.
