Job summary

Stoke Space is seeking a Launch Engineer for our Cape Canaveral complex to lead rapid development, readiness, and operation of GSE and tooling. You will work with REs, technicians, and vendors to ensure smooth fabrication, testing, and installation, while documenting workflows and driving continuous improvement.

The role emphasizes mechanical engineering strength, CAD experience, and the ability to troubleshoot in real time. Willingness to relocate to Cape Canaveral, FL is required.

Qualifications

• 2+ years as an engineer at a launch site or similar high-performance environment.
• Strong engineering fundamentals across disciplines with emphasis on mechanical.
• Experience with NX/Teamcenter or similar 3D CAD and configuration control software.
• Experience with machining, welding, GD&T, and related design-fabrication processes.
• Familiarity with hydraulics and pressurized systems.
• Knowledge of ASME/AWS and range requirements.

Responsibilities

• Design, fabricate, test, and utilize launch site tooling and GSE.
• Upgrade and maintain tooling and GSE to enable high-cadence launches.
• Collaborate with REs, technicians, and vendors to plan fabrication, testing, and installation of GSE.
• Generate, execute, and maintain workflow documentation.
• Continuously improve launch operations to enable rapid launch and recovery.
