Job summary

Ford’s BlueOval Battery Park Michigan site seeks a manufacturing engineering leader to launch a state‑of‑the‑art facility. You will help build an agile team, deploy automated systems, and drive data‑driven improvements across processes and equipment.

You will manage PM planning, KPI development, and life cycle changes while collaborating across departments to ensure safe, reliable operations and a successful plant launch.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or related field.
• 3-5 years manufacturing experience, automotive/battery preferred.
• Fundamental working knowledge of industrial process, PM planning, and machine safety standards.
• Experience with 2D & 3D vision systems for robot guidance, metrology, and identification.

Responsibilities

• Optimize & Innovate: provide technical expertise to optimize highly automated manufacturing equipment and processes.
• Systems Integration: manage interaction between systems and upper-level computers; configure parameters for production loads.
• PM planning and machine ownership: review PM plan performance and drive improvements using Ford OS.
• KPI tracking and development: track KPIs using electronic tools and complex algorithms.
• Continuous Improvement: lead Six Sigma projects focusing on efficiency, quality, and reliability.
• Technical Collaboration: bridge collaboration between departments to ensure equipment performance.
• Maintenance Support: establish preventive maintenance plans and mentor technicians.
• Standards & Safety: ensure FPS and Safety OS practices to achieve zero injuries.
• Life Cycle Management: support design changes and model code updates for automation.
