Job summary

Blue Origin in Merritt Island, FL is seeking a hands-on Test and Launch Engineer to join our Launch Operations and OLS Test Operations team. You will maintain and test ground support equipment, translate requirements into robust test processes, and collaborate with design, quality, supply chain, and production teams.

This role involves working with fluid systems, off-shift coverage, and contributing to dozens of New Glenn launches while upholding safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• BS in Mechanical, Aerospace, Chemical or related field.
• 3+ years testing with fluids/test teams; 5+ for III, 8+ for Sr.
• Experience with fluid, mechanical, electrical systems; ability to read schematics/P&IDs.
• Ability to draft/work instructions and test procedures for upgrades and maintenance.
• US citizenship or eligible to work in the US.

Responsibilities

• Maintain launch facility components to support launch activities.
• Translate engineering requirements into robust test and maintenance processes.
• Collaborate with design, QA, supply chain, and production teams to accelerate space readiness.
• Develop and maintain test documentation, work instructions, and inspection plans.
• Support root cause analysis and implement corrective actions.
• Ensure adherence to AS9100 / ISO 9001 safety standards.
• Identify opportunities for efficiency gains and cost reductions.
