Launch Integration Specialist (LIS) provides mission management and integration support to the OSL mission team in all phases of planning and execution of satellite-to-launch vehicle integration for OSL assigned missions. The LIS provides the overall end-to-end mission integration planning coordination/support, integrated schedule development, Range coordination, readiness review preparation, technical procedure coordination, anomaly resolution, integration of mission requirements into government or commercial infrastructure, mission support, MAT Integration panel support and lessons learned adjudication.
LIS support responsibilities include program plan development and maintenance, including performing launch vehicle mission trade studies, mission analysis, the development of mission-specific requirements, and monitoring and verifying all launch vehicle and satellite vehicle interface requirements including satellite vehicle processing, transportation, and fueling requirements. LIS should possess an understanding of the SV and LV and associated contracts to support the entire life cycle of launch operations planning and execution. LIS support requires close coordination with the SV Program, LVC, OL, Range, and other associated contractors and organizations. LIS should be familiar with the scope, capabilities, and support coordination of various NRO, OSL, and external contracts for SV development, integration, and launch, including commercial launch services, LSIC, FFRDC, launch base/range support contractors, and OSL service/services contracts. A working knowledge of United States Space Force (USSF) National Security Space Launch (NSSL) launch services and launch vehicle architecture and components is required.
This entry-level position requires a working knowledge of space launch systems and processes. Candidates must develop briefings for various audiences and can convey information clearly. Responsibilities include executing launch support activities. Candidates should possess the General Level II (G2) qualifications with 0 years of relevant experience.
This intermediate role requires proven knowledge of space launch systems and processes, with at least 2 years of relevant experience. Candidates should have extensive knowledge of government space launch policy and procedures, experience leading SV/LV mission integration, and the ability to provide cross-program launch expertise. Desired qualifications include experience with NRO/OSL launch policies, and leading the SV/LV mission integration process across all phases.
This senior role requires at least 5 years of relevant experience, with demonstrated ability to establish effective relationships, provide risk assessments, and have expert knowledge of SV/LV mission integration. Candidates should have extensive experience leading the entire mission integration process, providing cross-program expertise, and guiding Level I and II LISs. An active TS/SCI clearance with a CI polygraph is required.
